WHAKAPAPA REPORT

Mōrena from Whakapapa.

Today we have rain and a blustery north westerly wind on the lower mountain, with snow showers and strong winds higher up the mountain.
The great news is that this weather is forecast to pass through today, leaving clear weather for tomorrow.

The storm earlier in the week has topped up our snow stocks nicely up high, with the T-bars looking great again, along with some great drifting helping to fill in the gullies.

Base area facilities will open from 8am.

The Happy Valley beginners ski and ride area, along with Snowland will open from 9am.

The Sky Waka gondola is on hold due to strong winds. We will have an update at 7.30am.

Unfortunately due to the weather all other lift facilities are closed for the day.
