Ka hari te Rāhoroi katoa (Happy Saturday everyone) from a crisp and clear Whakapapa.

A cold and clear night has seen great snow making all night long. Top to bottom snowmaking has provided us the extra cover we were looking for on the Rockgarden and the bottom of the Double Happy. This allowed the grooming team to get out there and get us ready for today.

This work has ensured we can open the Rangatira and the Double Happy for the first time in 2025. All of Happy Valley to open at 9am. The Rangatira to open at 10am. The Sky Waka gondola will open for sightseeing from 9am. Lorenz's Bar and Cafe is open early from 7:30am.

The Rockgarden is looking good and is ready for you. But please be aware that it is narrow. We recommend considering the Rockgarden an intermediate run. Happy Valley is in great condition and is the ideal spot for our beginners.
