It's a chilly start on the maunga this morning, and we're expecting a cold and windy day ahead after another wet night.

From 8:00am, our base area facilities will open as scheduled, ready to get you fuelled up and geared up for the day.

From 9:00am, Happy Valley and Snowland will be open and ready to welcome you.

The Sky Waka Gondola, Rangatira Express will begin the morning on hold while we wait to see if the wind improves. We'll be watching conditions closely and will keep you updated throughout the morning.

The Delta will be closed due to low visibility and skiing and riding on the Sky Waka will also be closed.

The Valley T-Bar and Knoll Ridge T-Bar will be closed today. After a couple of wet days, the T-Bar lines need some repair work, and with today's forecast making it difficult for our teams to get out and complete that work, we've made the call to keep both lifts closed for the day.

It's forecast to be a cold one, so rug up warm and come make the most of your Monday at Whakapapa.
