When it’s return, you can settle in for a high tea experience lifted by alpine air and sweeping views. Perched at 2,020m inside the iconic Knoll Ridge Chalet, this is high tea with a Whakapapa twist where the mountain sets the mood.
The experience begins with a journey on the Sky Waka gondola, included with your booking. Glide above volcanic rock formations toward the Central Plateau as the 12 minute ride carries you from 1,630m to Knoll Ridge Chalet at 2,020m. Upgrade to a glass bottom gondola cabin for an even more memorable adventure.
Floor to ceiling windows wrap the building and open up sweeping views of the Central Plateau, the Pinnacles and the rugged contours of the maunga. Step outside onto the deck for an even wider panorama and a front row seat to the mountain’s raw beauty.
Enjoy a selection of savoury delicacies, classic finger sandwiches, fresh scones and finish on a high with delicious sweet treats. Pair it with your choice of bottomless tea, freshly brewed barista coffee or a cheeky midday cocktail, plus more.
