To ensure the continued safety and reliability of the Sky Waka Gondola, scheduled maintenance will take place across two short periods in March.

The Sky Waka Gondola will be temporarily closed to the public on the following dates:
- Thursday 12 March – Sunday 15 March 2026
- Thursday 19 March – Saturday 21 March 2026

The gondola will operate as normal outside of these dates.

Regular maintenance is an essential part of operating a world-class lift system and helps ensure the Sky Waka Gondola continues to provide a safe and reliable journey to Knoll Ridge Chalet at 2,020m up Mt Ruapehu.
