Make your own magic with our weekend pass to access all facilities at Whakapapa. Choose from lower mountain or all mountain passes, depending on what you want to get out of your winter season.

Weekend Skiing and Snowboarding Day Passes

One days' access to Whakapapa's Happy Valley beginner area for skiing and snowboarding, where you can learn the basics to help you progress safely.
Includes:
Access to Happy Valley beginner area for skiing and snowboarding.
Not Included:
Access to the Sky Waka gondola, sledding area or upper mountain facilities.

One pass gives you a days' access to Whakapapa's Happy Valley beginner area for skiing and snowboarding, and a return journey on the Sky Waka gondola to access the snow play area and Knoll Ridge chalet. Trip duration: 8-12 minutes each way.

Access to Happy Valley beginner area for skiing and snowboarding and Return trip on Sky Waka gondola
Not Included:
Sledding area or upper mountain facilities for skiing and snowboarding.

Weekend Sledding and Sightseeing Passes
1 hour sledding pass - weekend day

Infant $0
This pass gives you an hour's access to a selected sledding slot, and use of one of our sleds for that duration. You are not able to bring your own sled.

Sledding access, sled hire.
Not Included:
Use of sled outside of dedicated area and time slot.

Sky Waka Sightseeing Pass - Weekend Day

One pass gives you a return journey on the Sky Waka gondola, up and then down, about 8-12 minutes each way. This pass can also be used on weekdays. General opening hours during the 2024 winter season are from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily, with the last ride up the gondola at 3:30pm, weather permitting.

Return trip on the Sky Waka gondola
Not Included:
No access to ski runs and not permitted to carry ski / snowboard equipment or sleds.
