Beginners' Group Lessons
Group Lessons are a great way to improve your skills in a fun, relaxed environment. You will be grouped with similar level skiers/boarders and children will be grouped with others of a similar age and ability. The lessons last 2 hours* and can be taken on any one of a range of slopes depending on your ability.
No bookings are necessary - just purchase your lesson ticket from customer services at the base area. Children's group lessons are the same price as adults but are taught separately.
First Timer
A first timer lesson will get you on your feet, controlling your speed and stopping. Lessons depart from the Snow School meeting area in Happy Valley at Whakapapa or the Alpine Meadow at Turoa. At Whakapapa, lessons operate every half hour from 9.30am - 2pm. At Turoa, you will be booked in to a lesson when you purchase your lesson ticket.

Advanced Beginner and Lower Intermediate
Lessons depart from the Snow School Meeting area on Hut Flat at Whakapapa or the Wintergarden at Turoa at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.

* Note: If there are 4 or less people in a group lesson the lesson time will be reduced accordingly.
