Apprentice Ski/Snowboard Instructor Programme

Whakapapa and Turoa Snow Schools are inviting applications from skiers and boarders wishing to pursue a career in the snowsports industry. We welcome applicants who are New Zealand Residents, at least 18 years as at 1 September 2008 and of advanced ability level.

Our apprentice ski/snowboard (rookie) program will help you train towards a NZSIA Ski or SBINZ Level 2 Certificate in Snowsports Instruction.

All applicants are required to attend a two day on-snow hiring clinic on 28 and 29 June at Whakapapa or Turoa to assess technical ability. Both full and part time positions are limited and the successful applicants will be notified at the end of the trial weekend.

Successful applicants will gain valuable practical work experience, receive expert "in house" training and benefit from working within our internationally recognised snow schools at the two largest ski areas in New Zealand.
